What's next??
Whoa unbelievable!
I am back in Malaysia for almost 4 months.
But it feels like I've been back here for a year or so.
Maybe because I am too busy working.
If because of my disappearance in the blogger or online world, and you are wondering what is this Cheah Wan Qian doing - I can tell you that I am now working my ass off in my dad's company.
The feeling of finally ending my student's life and getting into the 'real world' is overwhelming - overwhelming excitement and overwhelming stress.
I am blessed, because I only get the taste of paying for my own expenses now.
Even though it's a heart ache, but I'm glad to finally get out of the stupid-spoilt-moron list and be financially independent.
However despite me working from morning till late evening on the weekdays, and studying my CFA on the weekends, this packed schedule comes with some kind of emptiness.
Maybe because of the fact that I know what am I doing now, but I do not know where am I heading to.
Undeniably, I am learning a lot of things now, more than any other companies can give me, and I am enjoying the work, but still, something is missing.
Perhaps I am in a desperate need of one clear direction, the reason I am working this hard right now.
Dad is nagging me about BAR exams.
Am I a lawyer?
I am applying for consulting firms right now, and thinking of MBA degree in U.S after few years of working experience, and planning to start my own business somehow.
I'm pretty screwed right now am I?
I really don't want to be those aquarium fishes in the last scene of 'Finding Nemo'.
After so much effort of getting themselves into sealed plastic bags (without knowing how to open them) and rolled themselves all the way to the sea, then only they asked themselves 'what's next'?
Or you can say, at least they are not in the aquarium now, they are one step closer.

OL addiction
As I am officially an OL now, I am getting addicted to heels and bags.
These are the two most important items if you want to make a difference in your relatively boring office look. :)
Heels have the amazing power of demonstrating both your corporate strength and feminine side, while carrying a good bag is like showcasing your taste, attracting the envious looks of other females.
We, women, are crazy creatures - yes that's the universal truth.
Long story short - my recent favorites:
Heels from Charles and Keith - affordable taste!!
I bought two pairs of them within two weeks. Yes I am now burried in guilt, without complaints though. :p
My next target:

Gucci latest collection:

Forever Superstar Shopper Bag by Fendi

Sunsweet prunes - keep the doctors away!
As I was gobbling down every Malaysian food I can find since I came back, I have literally got myself into deep shit.
Qian's food equation:
Asam Laksa + Curry Laksa + Pan Mee + Seafood + Tomyam = constipation.
*shy*
I prefer to phrase it as...ahem.. irritated bowel.
So I went to the doctor that day.
And to my surprise, for one single sickness, she actually prescribed me five types of medicine.
One for 'angin' (direct translation: wind), one for 'sakit perut (stomach pain), one for 'fibre', and one for 'digestion'.
As for last one which looked exactly like charcoal, I forgot what was it for.
I instantly felt like I am one of those old ladies who is having a full package of elderly sicknesses - heart problems, diabetes and high blood pressure.
Consultation and medication cost: RM50++
*ching ching - $ sound*
I have to admit that the yellow and orange tablets were pretty effective.
In fact, TOO effective.
I had to rush to the toilet after every meal.
But once I stopped the medication, the same problem occurred again.
So I felt like a bloated pregnant woman for almost a week.
The difference is instead of a baby, I was carrying a stomach full of ....
Giving up on the idea of seeking for more medication, I decided to head to Jusco for some Sunsweet prunes.
I ate 6 of them.
And just like what you expect - everything is back to normal again.
I feel so light that I think I can fly!!
One can of sunsweet prunes: RM8.90.
You can even have some extra prunes for more Malaysian food.
:)
Quote of the day: why see dr. when you have sunsweet prunes?
Management of sunsweet prunes, if you are searching for a spokesperson...
ME! ME! ME! *eagerly waving my hand*

Title
Figures figures figures.
I am taking ages to process this whole stack of figures in front of me.
Wish that I was aware of the importance of mathematics during my school days.
But perasanly speaking, I think I am quite good at processing information and digging out the insights from any given resources.
So gambate Qian.
On a side note, I am applying for jobs in UK branding consultancy firms.
After working in my dad's company, I believe that some international exposure would do me some good.
But I was just thinking about the title of my current job.
Research consultant? Sounds like I make it up myself.
Consultant? A bit exaggerating.
Boss's daughter? Too honest.
So I ended up with 'researcher'.
And I am looking like a bespectacled nerd now.
